Pierce Lab @ SVP

The Pierce Lab had a strong presence at this year's 75th Annual Meeting of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology. On the first day of the conference, Robert gave a platform talk which included preliminary results on neck mobility in wild turkeys and Katrina followed this up with results from our study on regionalization in the mammalian axial skeleton. On day two, both Blake and Brianna participated in the Colbert Student Poster Prize. Blake discussed his work on Anolis semicircular canal ecomorphology and Brianna showed how macroevolution and biomechanics can be linked to understand digit reduction in horses. And, on the last day of the conference, Zach presented his work on the development of the crocodylian face. Moreover, Blake's poster was voted in the top 5 of the Colbert session and Zach won the Wood Student Research Award! Well done everyone!!!
