Star-Friedman Challenge for Promising Scientific Research
The Star-Friedman Challenge provides seed funding for novel research in the physical or social sciences, with an emphasis on new directions that might not otherwise be supported through traditional funding channels.
Stephanie Pierce, Professor of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology, Alexander Agassiz Professor of Zoology in the Museum of Comparative Zoology, Faculty of Arts & Sciences and Peter Bishop, Postdoctoral Fellow, Stephanie Pierce Lab were awarded funding from the Star-Friedman Challenge for Promising Scientific Research. This funding will support their research project entitled “Biodiversity collapse and recovery at the edge of the world: Using East Gondwana's fossil record to understand Earth’s greatest mass extinction”
